Anything that’s keeping you, well, entertained stems from the entertainment industry: film, print, radio, music, and television. While the roots of the entertainment industry haven’t changed, over the years, the delivery methods have varied greatly.

The entertainment industry is a prime example of an industry that caters to consumers’ desires for instant gratification. Much of the entertainment we consume is available to stream or download whenever we want. Books, albums, television shows, movies—nearly everything produced under the umbrella of the entertainment industry can be digitized and delivered to us at just a click. While traditional means of enjoying entertainment do exist, the internet is certainly the most popular avenue for consuming entertainment.

The success of the entertainment industry is directly related to the economic health of its country. The more disposable income consumers have, the more the entertainment industry will grow. Economic stability is the key to profitability for this sector.
